My class started and this is the work I have so far. It should be pretty intense as far as homework goes from here on out. I wasn't able to locate the video lesson to begin with and so I just started on the assignment. We have to do 5 sketches of ordinary civilians and 1 tight drawing of Tom Hanks - reference photos provided. This is my first sketch of a civilian. The one in the middle is me starting without seeing the video lesson and the one on the right is after watching about 3/4 of the video. To my eye, the difference is astounding. If I can learn that much from 3/4 of the first lesson, I can't imagine what the whole class will bring.
